30/08/1996. SUPER CUP:bayern vs chealse. Tonight's referee is multimillionaire Swede Jonas Eriksson. He is 39, does notlike to send players off, andreportedly earns his cash as a salesman of some sort.19:30HEAD-TO-HEAD: Chelsea have faced Bayern three times in European competition, all in the Champions League. The mostfamous of these matches was the 2012 final, when Chelsea won on penalties after a 1-1 draw. The other time also saw Chelsea come out on top, winning 6-5 on aggregate over two legs in the 2004-05 quarter-final.19:25Franck Ribery of Bayern won UEFA's European Playerof the Season award yesterday. Do you think thatwas a fair result as he was the standout player in Bayern's amazing season? Or should it always go to Ronaldo or Messi, despite what their teams achieve?
