My Theory About Life

22.01.2011 05:48 EST
Have you ever thought, what is it like to be dead? How would it feel? Maybe nothing, completely switched off, like you never were alive.
Memories are very important part of our lives. If they are lost, it feels like we didn't have a past. And it feels purposeless to continue it further. And this thought helped me to create a theory about making a human immortal.
Here it goes-
If we somehow manage to extract all our memories, all the data from our brain, and put it into another artificially created non biological brain made of toughest material, we'll live longer than our normal lifetime.
Ofcourse, we'll be dead. But our second brain will live thinking that it is us. Like, he never died as he has all our memories.
And if that brain is put in a very tough robot, we will be invincible.
We can explore the deep space, because there will be no need of oxygen, water, food....just the energy. And energy is available everywhere in space, we have to know how to derive it.
Just imagine, how will it feel to see the future and compare it with your past. This way we can live for millions of years. And gain more memories.

But my theory confuses me a lot. If our brain really dies with us, then how can I say that we are alive.
This can be answered only after trying it. And I wish that I try it first...to live on, forever.

Don't take it seriously. It is just a theory.
