Living machines

28.10.2010 11:07 EDT
Recently I've been thinking about machines. The movies like Transformers, The Matrix, The Terminator etc. changed my views and perspective towards the machines.

And I have come to a conclusion that we have been thinking about the machines the wrong way. To make 'Living Machines' we have to think beyond software and programming. We have to think of machines as living organisms and forget about circuit boards, ram processors etc.

One way is to construct a non biological organism using all metals. In other words a metallic organism which eats, breathes, hunts etc. So, will it be called a machine? I don't think so.

Other way is to treat metallic nano robots as cells in our body. They can build an entire organism. Every tissue will be made of nanorobots, brain also. Maybe, this is the next level of evolution on Earth. Or, has it already occured in universe?

I'll try to make it possible. Currently, it's just a science-fiction story with minimum research. But I believe that someday it will come true.

Did I just challenge the definition of living organirms? Maybe not. I think that I just confused the children studying in 9th class, because their definition is wrong.
Wait a sec...
there are no 9th class children here. Lol...

*Above is the result of watching too much si-fi movies.
I'm talking about the '9th class' thing.
