Spendthrifts Attitude

Once upon a time, there was a king who ruled a prosperous country. One day, he went for a trip to some distant parts of his country.
When he was back at his palace, he complained that his feet were very painful, because it was the first time that he went for such a long trip. And the road that he went through was very rough and stony.
The king thought he had a brilliant idea. He ordered his servants to cover every road of the entire country with leather. Definitely, this would need hundreds and thousands of metres of cows’ skin. This would of course cost a huge amount of money.
Then one of his wise servants dared himself to ask the king, “Why do you have to spend that unnecessary amount of money ? Why don’t you just cut a little piece of leather to cover your feet ?”
The king was surprised, but after giving it some thought, the king agreed to follow his servant’s suggestion, to make a pair of ‘shoes’ for himself.
—In order to improve the quality of our lives sensibly, perhaps it is better to change ourselves – our attitudes, our hearts.

——— Allah (swt) says: ► Your Lord knoweth best what is in your hearts: if ye do deeds of righteousness, verily He is Most Forgiving to those who turn to Him again and again (in true penitence). And render to the kindred their due rights, as (also) to those in want and to the wayfarer: but squander not (your wealth) in the manner of a spendthrift. Verily spendthrifts are brothers of the Evil Ones; and the Evil One is to his Lord (Himself) ungrateful.
sura AL ISRA chapter 17 verse 25-27

——— Allah (swt) says: ► For each (such person) there are (angels) in succession, before and behind him: they guard him by command of Allah. Verily never will Allah change the condition of a people until they change it themselves (with their own souls). But when (once) Allah willeth a people's punishment, there can be no turning it back, nor will they find, besides Him any to protect.
sura AR RAD chapter 13 verse 11

Alláh (śwt) has given us many blessings for which we must continuously thank Him. Allah (swt) has given some people more and some people less. If Allah (swt) has given us something, we must be careful to use it in a way which will please Him. On the day of Judgement, we will need to account for all thésè blessings and how we used them.

——— Allah (swt) says: ► And remember! your Lord caused to be declared (publicly): "If ye are grateful, I will add more (favours) unto you; but if ye show ingratitude, truly My punishment is terrible indeed."
sura IBRAHIM chapter 14 verse 7
